What is an artist trading card?

An ATC is a miniature work of art created on 2.5x2.5 inch (64x89 mm) card stock. They are originals, small editions, and individually produced. The idea of ATCs was created by Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann, who intended for the cards to spread around the world as traveling showcases of an artist's work. They are completed in themed sets of eight or more, and often carry the same motif to link each set. For more information on ATCs, visit Artist-Trading-Cards.ch

HOW TO JOIN

You must currently or intend to create artist trading cards.
To join, just add us to your and send a Note with a creative title. If possible, please add a link to a previously created or work-in-progress ATC so we know that you understand the concept.
Please add a link to the club in either your siggy or in at least one journal entry.

We will send you a Note to confirm to you that you have been added to the Members List



BASIC RULES
Unless they specifically ask for it, no harsh criticism of ATCs. Constructive criticism works better anyway.
If you're going to use an online photo or one taken by anyone other than yourself, credit the original. Also, attempt to edit the picture in some way.
Any ATC that doesn't follow these rules will be deleted, and any member caught stealing another's work will be automatically banned.



HOW TO ADD ART

To add an ATC to our gallery, just send us a note entitled "ATC - title and/or subject" with a link to your card. For example, "ATC - Umbrellas". Links to the ATC will be added in our journal gallery and also uploaded to our DA gallery.

- I discovered ATCs recently in my graphic design class, and when i put the idea up against my DA friends they took to it pretty well. So this club is for any aspiring ATC creator, or for anyone who's just interested in the idea.
